Gathering meeting minutes
May 23, 2007

Gathering opened at 4:00 pm
Attendees: Nancylou Stiles, Janet Jones, Joan Emerson, Woody Woodward, Joanne Morse, Virginia “Jinx” Staples, Karen Hawkins
Minutes from April 25, 07 gathering were read and approved
Treasurer’s Report – $300 +
Corresponding secretary: Jinx, Treasurer: Woody

* $2,000 was given to the CCC by the Hamm Foundation, Woody will send a thank you to the directors for their gracious donation
* CCC location – verbal approval to use SBES – need approval in writing (Woody), date of CCC is set for Sept 14 & 15
* Nancylou said the Chamber will mail letters associated with the CCC for us
* Participants – tabled
* Troubadours – Jinx will make contact
* Signage -  Food City (Don) will be asked about donating money for banners again this year
* Food Vendors – non-profits in area as well as participants
* Contracts – Woody working on them, question about victual permit or vender’s license will be looked into by Woody
* Hours for event – Friday dance (7 – 10 pm), Saturday (10 am – 6:00 pm)
* Suggestion to number Turkey supper tickets and use at dance for raffle
* Suggestion to make snacks/popcorn to sell at dance
* issue, yet again, came up regarding CCC paying some participants last year, it was, yet again, clarified that the individual procuring those participants raised the money to pay them, the CCC did NOT incur any of those expenses – CASE CLOSED!!!
