What people are saying about the 2009 Community Cultural Celebration

thumbs up

Hello,
My daughter and I didn't know what to expect, but we
had a wonderful time and kept saying that we wished her 2
boys, ages 5 and 9, could have been there. (It was their
dad's weekend.) They would have been thrilled, as were> we, with the
music, dancing, costumes, and especially with
the involvement of so many kids. WE are already planning on
bringing them next year. I do hope Thunder Spirits will be
back!

For me, personally, I would have preferred the drumming be
spread out more over the course of the day. I would also
like more presentations like Henry and Shirley's talk
and slide show - and the exhibits, of course. If they could
be held in a separate classroom, that would cut down on the
distractions and noise competition.

But the dancing, music, demonstrations, etc. by natives of
other countries and involving audience participation was
delightful. It's nice to see and hear all, but having a
schedule to follow and choices of what is happening where
and when, might allow for more events.

More information re-lunch options, cost, choices, et al
posted or on a hand-out would be good.

A wonderful event and opportunity for other community folks
who are not connected to schools to learn about our new
neighbors in Maine.

Thank you so much.

Good Afternoon -
I attended your Cultural event at the Naples School on March 14th, and had
a wonderful time! You did a really nice job with it. It was informative
and entertaining all at the same time. And the desserts were to die
for!!! :-)

Dear Mody, tonight you might be dead tired, but you can look back onto a
very successful, interesting and extremely well organized event. I would
like to congratulate you.
You really have lifted this event out of the dragging so -so view to
something extraordinary. All the people I heard were happy and exited I
don’t think that anybody went home yawning tonight, at least not from
boredom.

Well done my friend, Ingrid

Mody,
You did a great job organizing everything yesterday. The event ended up
having its own schedule and that worked out fine!!!
Congratulations on a sucessful event.
